Back in March 2019 the Peace Through Prosperity team completed their mini-MBA program with 31 female micro-entrepreneurs from Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi.

Closing another year was as ever rewarding! eight years on, Peace Through Prosperity has facilitated 700+ individuals, their families (4550 people) and community (with jobs created) to jumpstart their desired narrative for change. One built by their own hands not through handouts. Giving multiple marginalised communities the choice to reject extremist narratives and create their own narratives of social transformation. With 9others we have been delivering these for micro-entrepreneurs in marginalised communities since 2014. Re-calibrating Giveback – Taking Open Source and Cloud beyond tech #SocialTransformation

This is the second rendition of this topic within the Drupal Community, the first time I shared my experiences and journey in this context was at Drupal Camp Sofia, in Bulgaria in 2015. In many respects this is quite a circle for me, I have fond memories of attending a Drupal meet-up in Utrecht (long way from home in Kent!) in 2012, receiving a very warm welcome by the local community at OneShoe’s very eclectic offices and meeting the personality that is Michel.
