“The how that makes our why real.”
Teaming as Internal Agile Enablers is critical in this next stage.
It’s what ensures agility doesn’t just arrive, but that it stays and finds a forever welcome home in how we work.
And every team, in order to achieve and perform, needs a purpose and a rhythm.
Our purpose is clear: to catalyse agility by collaborating, experimenting, and sharing what we learn.
Our rhythm is simple: a monthly cycle of Planning and Review that keeps us aligned, reflective, and growing together.
This rhythm is how we make agility stick.
By aligning, experimenting, reflecting, and learning together, we turn agility into culture, not a one-off programme. And because it’s lightweight and repeatable, it’s also how agility scales: from one team, to many teams, to our whole organisation.
Purpose: Align as a team, set focus, split into pairs/trios.
Suggested Flow:
Check-in (2 mins): one word on how you’re arriving today.
Share plans: each pair/trio shares their focus for the month (supporting a team set up Kanban, conduct a retrospective, lunch & learns, experiments…).
Spot overlaps: where can we collaborate or support each other?
Agree logistics: any dates for joint activities, comms, or check-ins.
Commitment round: “One thing I’ll commit to trying this month is…”
Example Questions:
Where can we seed Agile ways of working this month?
Which teams/colleagues might need support?
What experiments or learning sessions do we want to run?
Purpose: Share wins & lessons, reflect on teamwork.
Suggested Flow:
Check-in (2 mins): one word to describe this month as an Enabler.
Share back: each pair/trio shares activities, wins, challenges, lessons.
Capture learnings: agree 2–3 key takeaways as a group.
Reflect: “How did we do as a team of Enablers this month?”
Close with gratitude: “I want to thank ___ for ___.”
Example Questions:
What did we try? What worked, what didn’t?
What impact did we see?
What should we adapt for next month?
How well did we collaborate as a team?
Lightweight, not heavy process. The value is in the conversation, not the documentation.
Pairs & trios give us variety and spread impact.
Cautions from the Charter still apply: avoid drifting back to solo work, don’t let learning get lost, balance autonomy with support.
The Internal Agile Enablers – Team Charter is your anchor.
It sets out your identity (who you are as Enablers), your purpose (why you exist), your rhythm (how you practice), and your support system (how you stay resourced).
Use the Canvas to keep your shared purpose and agreements visible, and use this Rhythm Guide to bring it alive in practice.
The Charter gives us our identity and purpose.
The Rhythm gives us our practice.
Together, that’s how we multiply impact.

Here’s a new thing I am experimenting with; The Topic Triage Matrix is a practical thinking tool designed to help teams and facilitators decide where a topic belongs in terms of action, ownership, and priority — rather than letting every issue automatically escalate into a team-wide discussion or backlog item.
